Davit Lomidze

Davit trained as an architect at the Georgian Technical University before switching careers in 2019 to combine his love of Tbilisi's built heritage with guiding. His walking tours focus on the wooden-balcony houses of Sololaki and Betlemi, the Art Nouveau façades of Chughureti, and the underground sulphur baths of Abanotubani.

He also leads Sakartvelo Tours' most popular day trips from Tbilisi — Mtskheta's Jvari and Svetitskhoveli, the Ananuri fortress on the Georgian Military Highway, and the cave city of Uplistsikhe.

Davit collaborates with the Tbilisi Architecture Biennial and has contributed to the ICOMOS Georgia inventory of endangered historic houses.
