Things to Do in Tusheti

Tusheti is Georgia's most remote region — one road in (the terrifying Abano Pass at 2,850 m), open only June to early October, and villages accessible only by 4×4 or on horseback. Omalo is the administrative center; Dartlo is the postcard village; Diklo and Shenaqo are the frontier.

This is a trip for travelers who want raw mountain culture, not comfort. Guesthouses are simple, food is mostly meat and dairy from the shepherds who summer here, and 4G is patchy at best.
